OnKey questions, answered
Short answers about what OnKey does, what it needs and what it sends.
Common questions
What is OnKey?
OnKey is an iPhone keyboard with AI actions. You write in any app, tap Fix, Tone, Reply, Translate or Summarize, and the result appears in the keyboard for you to insert or undo.
Which apps does it work in?
Any app with a text field where iOS allows a custom keyboard. iOS uses its own keyboard in password fields.
Why does OnKey ask for Full Access?
Full Access lets the keyboard reach the AI over the internet. Without it, AI actions cannot run, but typing still works. iOS shows the same standard warning for every keyboard that asks for it.
What leaves my phone?
Only the text you submit to an AI action, at the moment you tap the action. Nothing is sent passively as you type. The privacy page lists exactly what is sent, where, and what the app keeps.
Do you log what I type?
We don't log what you type. The app keeps a short activity log on your phone that records the action, the character count and the model name, never your text. It holds at most 50 entries and clears itself after 24 hours.
Does the AI run on my phone?
No. Generation happens in the cloud. Voice to text is different: speech is transcribed on your device.
Which languages can it write in?
The output language picker has 40 languages. The keyboard also has real letter layouts for 18 of them.
Does it fix my typing as I type?
No. OnKey acts when you tap an action. It does not change your text automatically.
How much does it cost?
Plans and prices are shown on the App Store page and inside the app, in your local currency.
Can I undo a result?
Yes. Every result appears in a card with Undo and Insert. Nothing replaces your text until you tap Insert.
